Founding members

Alma Graduate School was founded in 2000 (with the name Almaweb) as a consortium of Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna Foundation and Guglielmo Marconi Foundation. From then on it has developed a strategy in which knowledge and experiences originating in different environments can meet in an interdisciplinary perspective which represents its main distinguishing characterstic.

After a period of rapid growth, in May 2006 Alma merged with Profingest Management School, a school born in 1985 thanks to the initiative of some of the most important economic institutions of the region. Profingest brought to the union its twenty years of experience in managerial training, a close connection with the principal economic institutions of the region, a solid organization and a significant network of alumni.
